I actually found it quite refreshing how the “best friend’s brother” trope was handled. Instead of the usual toxic cliche of the friend being entitled and controlling for no reason, the explanation here made so much sense and felt more realistic! And fits with Bianca’s personality that we briefly get a glimpse of haha. Appreciate the cute yet sensible spin on a romcom trope that often goes off the rails in most media.
I'm glad you liked it! I wanted a 'low stakes' kind of forbidden love because I wasn't sure I could appropriately handle something heavier with such a short amount of time to write it. I also wanted Bianca's reason to ask you not to date her brother to be reasonable because I don't think I'd be friends with someone in real life who asks me to do unreasonable things.
